The Celeritas Foundation is partnering with Kathmandu University to design, build and install 400 outhouse type toilets in remote areas of Nepal, particularly in the Kavre region. Residents of these areas often lack such basic sanitation amenities and, following the earthquake, this need became particularly pressing. We have designed and built sturdy, permanent outhouse toilets that will not only provide immediate sanitation facilities, but will be permanent additions that will benefit the long term needs of the community. Thanks not only to our generous donors, but the tireless efforts of engineers, students and support staff of the University of Kathmandu, we are currently installing these toilets throughout the region.
